In April 2019, Stebru started constructing a new residential building with rental apartments, on Hellingweg, in Scheveningen. The project has been sold to CDR II Properties 1 (Catella). Here, Stebru developed “Zeezicht”, a unique building on the spot where the sea, the city and the harbour come together. This has been done in collaboration with Klunder Architecten, Constructie Adviesbureau S3, Nieman Raadgevende Ingenieurs, Mees Ruimte and Milieu en Spindler Installatietechniek.
Zeezicht’s curved façade creates the illusion of wind, caught in the sails. The building’s unique shape has been inspired by the silhouette of a mainsail, while the façade ends in a shape that brings to mind the prow of a sharp yacht. The unique façade offers the residents generous balconies with fantastic views of the outer harbour, the sea, the dunes, the harbour and the city. The location of the building offers unhindered views from all storeys.
Welcome to Zeezicht
Upon entry, you are welcomed by a spacious entrance hall that offers access to the 45 unique apartments with an average living area of 95 square metres. The top three floors are home to the more spacious penthouses. The underground parking area offers space for 51 cars, while its roof will be covered by a dunescape. The plans include the possibility to create commercial (office) space on the ground floor.
New Scheveningen
Zeezicht is located on the edge of the former Norfolk site, on Hellingweg, right where antique dealer Vrolijk had been located for years. A number of houses and apartments have already been constructed on the Norfolk site. Nowhere else in Scheveningen will you find such unhindered views of the North Sea. With the beach around the corner and the unlimited options that the harbour offers when it comes to dining, this is truly a unique location.
